I've had a lot of time to think.
When I try to write about things I get stuck.
I ping pong between reverence and irreverence. My mind wants everything to be serious as a heart attack or a big satiric meltdown.

IVE BEEN IN THE COUNTRY TOO LONG!
Quick get me a pair of no. 6's, a drink in a coupe glass and on the mothereffing waiting list at Pok Pok.

that first pic is a future oil painting to be hung in the parlor.

I oscillate between needing the urban bustle and wanting to hermit up in the montana mountains. I'd inevitably go insane in the latter.

So, in other words, keep both sides for now?

I love the atmosphere of this pack of photos. It's like an autumn's mild breath.
Thank you for this work.

Beauty, Beauty everywhere....
May I please sit at that amazing table? Just pour me a scotch.
Are your crickets still chirping like they think it's summer?
And yes, keep both sides as life is all about balance.
Lovely house.

UPSTATE SEPTEMBER MIST, wormy apples, clematis earning its name as old-man's-beard. It makes my heart explode.

I don't know....these photos show oodles of harvest satisfaction, sweet inspiration, partnership and homemaking in progress. You want to be on a waiting list for a restaurant??? I don't know....

yes, i know exactly what you mean ping ponging. good to hear someone else say so. it's more complicated than balance isn't it? and how the extremes mock each other!

your art is a still place outside of that. breathtaking as always!

FOR REAL. WOW.

I wouldn't mind a stint in the country. Why don't you come out this way to Portland, Oregon and you can stay in my place for a while while I fill your shoes on the farm. You know the original Pok Pok is just down the street from here. No waiting lists.

Of course I would have to find a different way to document my visit, because I can't photograph hydrangea like you can...
